Profiteering Fuel Stations - Boycott them!
June 17, 2008
So, because of situations outside of our control, namely greedy tanker delivery drivers who already are on an average salary of £33k, we are now hearing reports of petrol stations trying to take advantage of the situation and bump their prices up to make more money out of an already crap situation for us motorists.
Can I put it to all our readers of Fuel Fool that you remember who these fuel stations are and when the fuel strikes are over boycott them completely. Why should we give them our money when they see us as a quick way of making money.
You may or may not be aware of the garage in Exeter charging £1.99 per litre which was on the news yesterday. A spokesman says it was to stop panic buying….question is do you believe them or do you see them as trying to make a fast buck from us…again…after this, do you want to give them your business after this?
let us all know your thoughts and comments on this.
Shell Tanker Drivers Planning Strike
June 11, 2008
So were in for a weekend of more protests from the workers who are a key part of ensuring delivery of fuel to petrol stations.
OK, so they think they need a pay rise (dont we all in the current climate were in??).
The Government have admitted that this strike can actually cause fuel stations to run dry and once again this hits us the motorist hard again. How are we going to get to work? How are goods going to be delivered to Food Stores? it affects us in all areas of life.
Do you simpathise with these drivers? Is it the right thing to do , and do you think they will get what they want?
Also, why hasnt the country done a major blockade so far to protest against the government?? So far, the price of fuel has gone up and up and up without any regulation whatsoever. The Government have allowed Fuel Companies to do what they want. The price of oil fluctuates up and down but we dont see our fuel prices on the forecourt going down when the price of a barrel of oil goes down.
Is the country on its knees?? is labour going to get back in….I could ask these questions all day long here.. Its the common motorist like us who need to make a stand and tell the Government enough is enough.. but so far all the UK motorist has done is moaned a bit and sat back and allowed themselves to be continually shafted by the Government and the Fat Cat oil Companies.
Whats your thoughts on this??
